Big Data Analytics Tokyo and ILS Introduce Boston-Area AI Startups to Japan

Eighteen startups head to Tokyo for “Power Matching” meetings with 100+ major Japanese corporations

CAMBRIDGE, MA—October 17, 2017—Big Data Analytics Tokyo (BDAT) is bringing 18 startups from the U.S. to meet major Japanese corporations in a speed-dating style series of meetings to look for potential deals, investment, and partnerships. This “Power Matching” event is the main feature of the 5th annual Innovation Leaders Summit (ILS) (October 23-25, 2017) in Tokyo. At ILS, BDAT will also host a track of presentations and pitches by startups in FinTech, cyber security, procurement, pharma, and AI applications for retail and contact center analysis. The speakers include U.S. based startups: Area 1 Security, Kona DataSearch, Kono, Luminoso, Markable, Panjiva, Prattle, ShieldX, Smartlogic, and Thrive Bioscience.

This past February, BDAT held a highly successful two-day conference in Tokyo featuring bilingual talks by startup CEOs and founders whose businesses are reshaping “business as usual” to a more data-driven reality. As with the October program, the BDAT track aims to build bridges between the U.S. and Japan through networking and by fostering business opportunities.

The 2016 ILS event featured 400+ startups and 100+ large corporations which met in 2000+ meetings that resulted in over 1000 deals. This year’s event promises to be of the same scale where in addition to “Power Matching” and pitches by startups, the general public will be able to participate in talks and visit demonstrations and exhibits by startups.
