Available Positions:
Basis Technology has an opening for an experienced Software Automation Engineer to work in our Development group. In this position, you will enhance the existing automated testing framework for our language analysis, web services and name matching products. Possible projects include: building and running sample programs, automating installations, and measuring performance and accuracy of our language analysis software libraries.
This is a full-time position and is available immediately. We are located in Cambridge, MA (near the Alewife T stop). The Company offers a competitive salary and a generous benefits package. We are an equal opportunity employer.
Qualifications
- Computer Science degree or equivalent experience
- Ability to program in Java and Python
- Knowledge of other languages such as C/C++, perl, XML, .NET, C# is a plus
- One to five years of software development experience on a variety of platforms
- Zero to five years of QA experience
- Good English language skills
- Knowledge of linguistics, natural language processing or computational linguistics is desirable
- Knowledge of languages in addition to English is also desirable, especially Arabic or Chinese
