2011 Open Source Digital Forensics Conference The Sleuth Kit and Open Source Digital Forensics Conference on June 14, 2011 has concluded. Thanks to all speakers and attendees!

2nd Annual The Sleuth Kit and Open Source Digital Forensics Conference will be held on June 14, 2011 in McLean, VA. The conference will focus on showcasing open source tools that can help investigators get their jobs done.

Pre-conference workshops will provide hands-on experiences on using open source tools. Like last year, talks will be given by both users and developers of tools.

This year’s conference will be held at the Hilton McLean Tysons Corner hotel. Discount hotel rooms will be available. Brian Carrier (author of The Sleuth Kit) is the conference chair.

Registration

The conference is free to all federal, state, and local government employees (U.S. and other), but pre-registration is required by Wednesday, June 8, 2011. Commercial, academic, and FFRDC participants are also welcome; however, a conference fee of $150 will apply.

Registration Cancellation Policy

Paid registration for the conference may be cancelled by 5pm ET June 9, 2011 for a full refund. No refund can be given for no-shows, or registrations cancelled after 5pm ET June 9, 2011. To cancel, please email conference@basistech.com with information about which conference you were registered for.
